I love you deeply. I do. I’ve tried to show you every day, and I’ll continue to do so for as long as I can, but in case you ever need to be reminded: I will love you from your first breath until my last, straight into infinity.
These words — YOU ARE LOVED —are for you, my beloved daughter and son, but not exclusively. I have love for every child. For everyone who once was a child. For every human being just trying to get through this thing called life.
This chapter is for all of humanity. If you are not loved by the ones who were supposed to, please know that you are loved by me. And by others like me, equipped with a heart for the whole. You may not know it, but I hope that — especially in the moments you need it the most — you can feel it. And if you cannot: feel everything you do feel. In the silence behind all that, love is waiting for you, just behind your heart. Inner love. Breathe into it. Feel it. Receive it. Let it nurture you and warm you. YOU ARE LOVED.
